Austria – National Research

The interviews with 30 young EU movers and experts on free movement clearly indicate that EU movement is highly appreciated and in principle works very well. EU movement is driven by work, education and love.
However, national practices in healthcare, social insurance, labour law or education and language differences are in conflict with the right to free movement and constitute barriers for EU movers. The recognition of achievements or entitlements from other EU countries creates challenges for EU movers.
