Kristjan is a senior analyst in the Institute of Baltic Studies.He has been working at the institute since year 2007. His main areas of work and interest focus on migration and integration, ethnic conflicts, identity politics, and other areas associated mainly with ethnic minorities. Besides that, he has a very great interest on the topics related with information society, ICT and e-governance. In addition to the work at IBS, Kristjan is lecturing and supervising BA and MA students at the at the University of Tartu, on the topics of nationalism, ethno-politics and migration.
Maarja is a junior analyst at the Institute of Baltic Studies. She is working with topics related to migration, integration and fundamental rights. Maarja has studied Sociology and Social Work in the University of Tartu, Estonia, and holds a Master’s degree on International Migration and Ethnic Relations from Malmö University. Maarja has personal experience in this topic as besides Estonia she has also lived in Sweden and in Denmark.
